HELP!(Video Collection) Video/Laserdisc/DVD
Released on video in 1989, and also available in several other editions. The restored DVD-edition from 1999 was by far better than all previous editions, including the laserdisc. The new DVD editions from 2007 also remixed the audio into surround, and has a differently framed picture.

READY STEADY GO SPECIAL EDITION THE BEATLES LIVE (pmi) Video/Laserdisc
These two videos have got the same name and an almost identical cover, but different contents. The UK release is from the TV-show "Around The Beatles", while the norwegian one (also released in Japan) has been put together from clips from the popular TV-series "Ready Steady Go". Buy them both.
THE FOUR COMPLETE HISTORIC ED SULLIVAN SHOWS FEATURING THE BEATLES (DVD set)
Three shows from 1964 and one from 1965, featuring all acts, including The Beatles were released in 2003. After that, Ed Sullivan Productions have leased these performances to other makers of Beatles documentaries, but on this DVD set they are all complete.

Released in the USA both as videos and laserdiscs in the early 80,s (in mono, though), but later withdrawn and now rare collector's items. Expected to be re-released by Apple with an improved stereo soundtrack.

A highly interesting and entertaining documentary from the Beatles' first appearences stateside in February 1964 including songs from all 3 Ed Sullivan Shows and some songs from the concert in Washington. Also includes candid moments with the relaxing Beatles.

A New DVD version of "The Beatles' First US Visit" was released in 2003, featuring even more footage from the original film footage, included as bonus material.

A documentary by Walter Shenson. Some footage from the filming of A HARD DAY'S NIGHT, and one entire song which didn't make the final cut. Phil Collins (an extra in the 1964-film) narrates.
THE BEATLES ANTHOLOGY (PMI)
Video/Laserdisc Video series in 8 video cassettes/laserdiscs or 9 DVD's featur5ing 1 Special Edition DVD not included on video/laserdisc. A prolonged edition of the TV-series of the same name. Contains old Beatles-clips (music videos/consert footage/interviews) cut together with new interviews with the Beatles, and everything in better sound and picture quality than you ever imagined existed.
Apart from these video films, there are countless semi-legal videos with The Beatles. This is partly due to the fact that when one started releasing at the end of the 70's, there were loopholes in the movie distribution rights. No one had anticipated that someday it would be possible for a fan to take home a copy of the movie and watch it on his/her TV! So all video companies needed to do, was to transfer films from their own and other people's collections onto video tape and release it commercially. In the early 80's this business came to an end after new laws had been passed in the various countries. Some countries were slower than others. But video tapes that were released during those first "outlaw" years may still be found at Beatles marketplaces and on the shelves of die hard Beatles fans. The following films belong in this category.
