The british excuse for releasing this one, was that it collected some songs that hadn't been previously available on LP. It was originally part of a collector's boxed set, containing the "usual" 13 Beatles-LP's. Unfortunately it wasn't complete.

The UK and the USA edition of this record are very different from each other. The americans used the opportunity to release some british mixes that hadn't been released in the USA before. Where the UK cover is spartan, the USA one is extravagant.
