What is the best way to get Beatle fans personal stories?? We are fans from all over the world. We are not professional writers, not professional film makers-we are Beatles fans joined together for this book/possible film. This is a project in 2011 creating a book, as well as possible film, about Beatles fans & their true stories. But much more to it than just a collection of memories. Please do not fool yourself into thinking you do not have a story. We are now 169 fan/members strong. We are making a request for your precious story as a Beatles fan, whether first or second or third generation wherever you live in this world. Each of our stories are special so do not underestimate the value of your special history as a Beatlefan. We are not looking for the glamorous stories, although you can include them if you do have such stories. We are looking for the local neighborhood stories. No story is too trivial. What was it like growing up loving the Beatles, what people did for you because they knew you loved the Beatles, what did your parents think, your brother/sister think. What did your schoolmates think. We are fans also. Please respond in english...Rick .. http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/BeatlefansDocumentary

Calling all Beatles fans!
TELL YOUR BEATLES STORIES ON THE RADIO!
trying to collect some memories of specific Beatles gigs for a radio documentary (possibly broadcast on BBC or other mainstream national radio - tbc), and would love to find some great stories behind the gigs, from fans who were there or police/gig organisers/journalists and anyone who worked at these gigs.
Did you or anyone you know attend/work at any of the following fab four gigs in the 1960s?
*Smethwick Baths, Thimblemill Road, Smethwick, West midlands 1962 Monday 19th November
*any gigs in Wales, particularly 1962/63 – Welsh gigs
Rhyl's Regent Dansette Ballroom, Saturday 14th July (first gig in Wales) 1962
Prestatyn's Royal Lido Ballroom, Saturday 24th November 1962
Mold's Assembly Hall, Thursday 24th January, 1963
*1963 – March 28th
ABC Cinema, Exeter
*1963 – Saturday 16th November
Winter Gardens Theatre, Bournemouth
*1963 to 65– Sheffield gigs
Azema Ballroom, White Lane, Gleadless on 12th February & various over dates/venues from 63-65
*1964 Wigan, ABC Cinema
*and any gigs in West Bromwich or nearby - or any gigs (particularly small venues, in small towns and villages) anywhere.
If you do have info and memories that could help us, we would love to hear from you and get your stories told to the Nation.
contact me via this post and forum, or email me - milling.radio@hotmail.co.uk
thankyou, and please, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
WE NEED YOUR STORIES! x

I've always been a Beatles Fan! My Grandma made me a 'Mop-Top' wig to wear back in '64 and I used to stand on our hassock at play my kids guitar...Man I thought I was so cool! Now I'm a middle aged guy who loves to play his Hofner (it's a replica) left hand bass just like my favorite bass player, Paul.
